O.M. studio

O.M. Studio is the collaborative practice of artists Krislyn Komarov and James Benn. Founded in Los Angeles in 2020, the studio emerged from a private ritual — two artists, a sanctuary of materials, and a world they built together from the inside out.

Working in gypsum, concrete, cast fiberglass, steel, and alchemized matter, Komarov and Benn make objects that resist easy classification. Sculptures that hold light. Forms that carry weight. Studies in material behavior.

While both bring inspired, organic forms, Komarov adds a narrative of intuition — a softness that breathes life into structure. Benn brings architectural precision and material rigor. Together they create what neither would make alone.

O.M. Studio accepts commissions and welcomes gallery and designer inquiries.

PROCESS

Krislyn and James collaborate on most of the sculptural work formed in the studio. Within each creation, a particular ethos forms through a fusion of sensibilities. While drawing inspiration from the natural world, each artist takes a distinctive approach. James expresses in awe of the intricate structures and architectural elements of nature and materiality. On the other hand, Krislyn’s viewpoint delves into an ethereal realm where dreams, emotion and imagination are at play. As each project evolves, the two layer concepts and visuals to finalize an effect.
